PAYMENT AND ORDERS
Payment can only be made by bank transfer in advance to start the production of an order.
Standart Products – 30% or 50% to adjudicate the work (order);
Custom-made Products – 50% to adjudicate the work (order);
Orders pass to production only after Castro Lighting has confirmed that the final invoice is signed/stamped by the client and the adjudication has been received;
The merchandise is authorised to leave Castro Lighting facilities only when fully paid.
The payment must be made by account transfer (in Euros) and the confirmation (receipt) of the transfer must be sent along with the signed/stamped invoice by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).

The production time is from 8 to 10 weeks after the reception of the payment / prepayment. All products are Castro Lighting property until the payment is fully received and confirmed. Castro Lighting reserves the right to postpone expedition to assure the quality of each product.
DESIGN AND PRODUCT
Castro Lighting reserves the right, without prior notice, to discontinue collections, products or change specifications and prices of products.
Images on the catalogue or website may vary form the final product to enhance our product’s quality, aesthetics, usability and reliability.
Castro Lighting has the ability to customize existing products or new products to meet desirable specifications – all situations that require custom designs are subject to an upcharge.
Special pricing based on quantity and features will be provided upon request for all customized products – decision will be made on a case-by-case basis and the buyer will be notified of any said fees.
Castro Lighting finishes are applied by hand and may vary in colour, tone and character. Castro Lighting will make every effort to match a finish, but there’s no guarantee of an exact match to be made.
The pieces of marble used for the designs are individual and cannot match with each other fully due to the material natural origin.
In case of ordering any products with lacquered surfaces the client is advised to communicate RAL reference for a chosen colour.
Castro Lighting ships its lamps with halogen bulbs of the required type GU10, G9, E14 and E27 (expect North America and other countries that use 110-127V outlets). If required Castro Lighting can change the type of bulbs to LED or others which will lead to upcharge.
All halogen bulbs are dimmable. Castro Lighting is not responsible for the compatibility with the lamps and functionality of the dimmers system on the project site. Please contact Castro Lighting staff for more details about maximum bulbs wattage.
EU standard plugs and switches are included. They can be changed according to the standards of the country to which the product is destined with a prior notice of the client.
Castro Lighting applies a standard measure for the electrical (and metal) cables of 100cm. Additional length of the cables can be added to the proforma free of charge before the order passes to the production. The cables required after the order is dispatched is a subject of additional cost.
All Products are shipped with insurance. In any case of delivery with damaged packaging it should be immediately stated to the transportation company during the delivery process. The POD must be signed with reservations subject to verification with/without apparent damage to the box/boxes.
When the order is delivered it is important to verify the products condition. In case of damages or losses written claim should be presented to Castro Lighting team by email within 30 days from the delivery date. If the procedure is not respected, this will automatically release Castro Lighting from any liability for damages sustained in transit.
Castro Lighting will not be liable for any damages resulting from handling, loading or unloading the products by persons acting on behalf of the receiver. Any transportation of the products from destination to a second location will forfeit any transportation damage claim. Castro Lighting provides a 3-year limited warranty against any manufacturer's defects. This means that Castro Lighting will fix free-of-charge any problems due to manufacturer’s, but not problems occurred due to wrong maintenance/cleaning/humidity.
Castro Lighting does not warrant: changes in surface finishes due to aging or exposure to light, damage from sharp objects or imprinting from writing instruments, prolonged exposure to humidity.
Castro Lighting does not guarantee finishes against fading and oxidizing throughout the years. Variations in colour and veining are inherent in metal and considered to be part of the natural beauty of the material.
Upon confirmation of any defect, Castro Lighting compromises to replace the defective part/piece integrally, within a period agreed with the client. The defective part/piece must be received by Castro Lighting in its original package before any replacement can be send.
DOCUMENTS, TAXES AND FEES
The prices presented in a commercial offer (Proforma) are valid for six months from the date it is elaborated. Prices always refer to a single unit and VAT is not included in the price. All legal taxes and fees must be subsequently added to the price.
Any bank transfer taxes, charges or fees are to be hold by the client. Clients from Portugal or without VAT number are obliged to add 23% tax to a final value.
In case the invoice address of a client is out of European Union Export declaration is to be presented to Castro Lighting. If Castro Lighting is executing delivery services the value of transportation will include the Export declaration opening value of 80€.
All prices are EX WORKS: they do not include any transportation value or fees. The transportation value sent in any Proforma is informative as it could vary due to the fluctuations of the shipping prices on shipment day. Standard packaging is included in the price. Should the client require specific packaging, it will be charged accordingly.
Castro Lighting may provide all of the following services for a respective additional fee: Certificate of Origin, Authentication of Invoices, SASO Certificates, Storage and Demurrage. Please contact Castro Lighting staff for more info. (firstname.lastname@example.org / www.castrolighting.com).
The values and percentages on Castro Lighting Price List are public and substitute any other published or advertised before by Castro Lighting or other companies.
Any question that may arise from the interpretation, application or obedience to these Terms and Conditions must be viewed and resolved in accordance with the laws of Portugal.
